Deuteronomy 28 36
The Lord shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
And there you will serve man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or eat or smell. You saw the abominations and idols among them made of wood and stone, of silver and gold.
You are not to make any gods to rival Me; you are not to make for yourselves gods of silver or gold. Cursed is the man who makes a carved idol or molten image–which is detestable to the LORD, the work of the hands of a craftsman–and sets it up in secret.’
And let all the people say, ‘Amen!’
