Deuteronomy 28 21
Verse Twenty-One:
The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
I will strike them with a plague and destroy them–and I will make you into a nation greater and mightier than they are. I will bring a sword against you to execute the vengeance of the covenant. Though you withdraw into your cities, I will send a pestilence among you, and you will be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
These pairs have befallen you: devastation and destruction, famine and sword. Who will grieve for you? Who can comfort you? A third of your people will die by plague or be consumed by famine within you, a third will fall by the sword outside your walls, and a third I will scatter to every wind and unleash a sword behind them.
