Deuteronomy 28 54 His Eye Shall Be Evil Toward His Brother And The Wife Of His Bosom
Deuteronomy 28 54
Verse Fifty-Four:
So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
You didn’t go out to see this! Otherwise, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Look, those who wear fine clothing are found in kings’ palaces. Deuteronomy 28:54 speaks of a distressing consequence of disobedience to the Creator’s commands within Akobe’s (Jacob) community. When hearts turn from the path of righteousness, relationships become strained.
This verse reminds us of the importance of love, unity, and compassion. It resonates with the Anointed Son’s teachings, emphasizing love for one another as a hallmark of true faith (John 13:34-35). Let us remember that love for our brothers and sisters is a reflection of our love for the Creator (1 John 4:20-21). In every relationship, let us strive to emulate the love and compassion shown by the Anointed Son.
Or else, the children of Akobe will remain in captivity; captive to the state of oppression. The oppressor will keep power over those who cannot love their brother as themselves. The husband will remain in the congregation of the dead if he cannot love his wife. A result of the curse of breaking the covenant with the Almighty is hatred between husband and wife. The most delicate and tender men are at odds also, leaving little hope for the mean man.
