Deuteronomy 28:55 Thine Enemies Shall Distress Thee In All Thy Gates
Deuteronomy 28:55
Verse Fifty-Five
So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and everyone shall eat the flesh of his friend in the siege and in the desperation with which their enemies and those who seek their lives shall drive them to despair.”
You will eat the flesh of your own sons and daughters. They carve out what is on the right, but they are still hungry; they eat what is on the left, but they are still not satisfied. Each one devours the flesh of his own offspring.
I will smash them against one another, fathers and sons alike, declares the Almighty. I will allow no mercy or pity or compassion to keep Me from destroying them. Look, O Almighty, and consider: Whom have You ever treated like this? Should women eat their offspring, the infants they have nurtured? Should priests and prophets be killed in the sanctuary of the Father?
The hands of compassionate women have cooked their own children, who became their food in the destruction of the daughter of my people. When Jerusalem was captured by the Babylonians and later by the Romans, the city was shut up and nothing was allowed in. Starvation led the people of Juda to consume their own children.
This is serious, O!
